Trip Notes - Weber Q grill
Like it was made for our family
Oct 2010
We have always owned a mediocre barbecue grill at home. I have never owned a Weber grill, although my neighbor swears by his.
Before we left for this adventure, I searched high and low for the 'best' BBQ grill that we could easily pack into the basement storage, that had enough space to cook food for our whole family of 9 without grilling it in shifts, and that cooked evenly and completely. The reviews of this grill were very positive.
This little grill is a workhorse! The flame is even and hot, then grill warms up quickly, after purchasing the optional adapter hose we can use a 20# propane cylinder in addition to the small camping cylinders, and it's easy to clean up.
We love it, will recommend it, and will enjoy meals for years to come, even after the trip is over. If my grill lat home hasn't blown away when we get there, it's destined for the dump.
On the shoreline at Mission Bay Park in San Diego, Shish-ke-bobs go on 12 at a time!
